Is your home SMART?
We can make your home as smart as you want it to be!
We install systems that can give you control of your home's electronics from your smart phone or tablet from anywhere at home, or anywhere in the world!  Would it be great to turn on the A/C when you get off the plane or before you leave work, or to have the lights on before you arrive home when you were not planning on being out past dark?  If you can run a smart phone, you can run your home from anywhere.

Now you see it...

Now you don't! This is one of the coolest installations we have done to hide a plasma TV. many items you see here are antiques. (not the TV :)) This client wanted a fantastic theater experience but did not want the room to look "tech'd out!" This built-in was constructed by Lone Wolf Builders here in Hawaii Kai. Sliding doors were created to hide the TV when not in use. Notice the painting with the moon in it. Originally it was one piece and the homeowner wanted it to separate to reveal the TV. Bravely, he cut it in half and mounted it to the sliding wall. Notice the speakers over the TV beside the spot lights which illuminate the artwork. All of the electronics in this house, except for the remote control, are hidden in a closet around the corner. With the 2 story ceiling in this room, and the open floor plan, it is hard to say which is more enjoyable here, watching a movie or looking to the right and watching the sunset as it falls behind Diamond Head crater!

Custom theater in a Honolulu high rise.

The owner of this beautiful condo, overlooking the beach and downtown Honolulu, needed an enjoyable place to watch TV and still enjoy the view. Where there is a will, there is a way. We decided to mount the TV on this pillar but did not want it to look like a TV just hung on the wall. The solution...build out the sheet rock 3" into the room and create a recess just big enough for the TV. The idea is to look more like a picture on the wall. This is a 50" plasma TV with a 5.1 surround sound system, all with Niles speakers. The sub woofer is built into the wall on the lower right side of the TV around the corner. Inside this beautiful cabinet is an Onkyo surround receiver, blu-ray player, cable box, iPod dock and an X-Box360. All of this is controlled by 1 universal remote.

One of the obstacles in a condo is that usually there is a concrete floor and ceiling and this one also has glass on 2 sides. This makes installing rear speakers challenging. The bonus here was that the owner was remodelling and replacing carpet with tile. While the floor was bare, I laid the needed wiring on the floor from the front wall to the back and the tile installers just poured the floor leveling compound right over the wires. The client picked out this unique cabinet to house the equipment. We removed the back completely and I made a few modifications inside to house all of the equipment and run the wires. This is a beautiful, clean installation and the owner can enjoy the view and fabulous entertainment at the same time!.
